I am trying to get back into the groove with having a newborn. Although I have already had a few babies I still feel like I am relearning and trying to remember how to be a mom. With both of my girls they had really bad acid reflux, which any mom who has dealt with that will tell you it is scary and stressful wondering how you can help them. So with this baby I was worried that she might also get it so I started researching a few different products I could use. I came across the fisher price Rock and play which I am now in love with. It angles the baby to where they are not laying flat on their back which when my first baby had acid reflux I always wondered how do you get them to lay on an angle without paying a fortune for a special bed. The rock and play is very portable to where now I can take ti to any room in the house and I am able to have the baby right by me. My little girl loves it in there and is sooo spoiled to where now I am worried about getting her to sleep in a crib. I got the rainforest themed rock and play which is more of a neutral color which I like so that I don't have to purchase a separate one for boys and girls. It folds away easily to where I can take it with me if I am going on a trip or if I need to put it in storage its nice to know it wont take up alot of space.

I also found the playtex baby nurser with drop ins. This bottle is perfect for babies with colic or acid reflux. It helps them not drink in too much air. One thing I LOVED about this bottle is you could angle the bottle. You could choose to have it be straight or have it be bent which will also help the baby not get an ear infection. THe drop ins were way easy to put in the bottle and fill up. I was worried at first that they might leak or spill as i was filling up the bottle but I found that wasn't a problem. My baby did have a hard time getting used to the nipple which I was surprised because she was nursing half the time and having a regular bottle half time. I feel like her struggle was just because she sucks different than my other babies did which made her have a hard time latching on. However after a few feedings she did start to get the hang of it. My baby loved the big nipple on the top, it gave her comfort to wrap her fingers around it. she was so cute holding it.
Check it out on amazon!
With using both of these products I saw a major difference with the acid reflux. Its hard to say if it was the products or if she just didn't get as bad of a case as her sisters. I do know that I am going to continue using these with my future children to ensure that they will have a higher chance of not getting the reflux.
